Tudor’s Pelagos line-up has certainly diversified over the years, but it is the original 42mm models that set the benchmark for durability, ruggedness and, most notably, depth rating within Tudor’s catalogue. With 500m water resistance, the Pelagos 42mm really is a go anywhere, do anything watch. Couple that with the titanium case and bracelet and this makes the Pelagos as light and comfortable on the wrist as it is capable. This 2023 model houses the Tudor MT5612 COSC-certified movement with 70 hours of power reserve; an improvement in terms of accuracy and longevity over the original ETA-powered model.

What we think


At 42mm wide and 14mm thick, the Pelagos carries itself incredibly well for a watch that looks large on paper. This is testament to the incredibly light titanium case and bracelet and the excellent multi-adjustment clasp. On the wrist, the Pelagos wears very comfortably and looks as great as it is capable. The slight bezel patina, known to this model, adds to its character.

Condition report

Very good - The bracelet is excellent, with only some minor hairlines on the clasp. The case is very good, with only light wear, including some light scratches. There are two tiny marks on the sapphire, barely noticeable to the naked eye. The bezel markings have very slightly patinad, which is a known characteristic of the 42mm Pelagos models and adds to the charm. This watch is supplied with paperwork from the Ebay Authentication service.
